Lynnderella Mysterious Ways

This is my first official Lynnderella manicure. I was craving something more feminine and delicate and this fits. This is three coats. Yes, it's very sheer, and I like that!
Unfocused, to capture the holographic goodness.
It is slightly more lavender than these pictures convey.

Untried #4: Another $OPI mini + Icing Force of Love

A beautiful teal shimmer from $OPI. Sorry, I don't have the name!

This is really quite pretty and deserves to be
worn on it's own.
But I layered over it two coats of Icing Force of Love,
the DL dupe of Across The Universe.

Untried #3: $OPI orange-based red creme mini

I'm glad I'm going through my untrieds. I've discovered some polishes I really like, that I had dismissed in the past. Here is a an orange-based red creme. I love this, especially on shorter nails.
Sorry, I don't have the name!

Untrieds, Day 2: $OPI mini and Nubar 2010

I was pleasanly surprised with this $OPI mini. Sorry, I don't have the name. I threw out the package, not knowing the names aren't on the little bottles. It's such a nice steel-gray blue with some shimmer.
Three coats. This will be a nice base color for
stamping white and silver snowflakes.

Warning: Tip wear and dry cuticles ahead!

Then, I layered Nubar 2010 and mattified it.

Thanks for lookin'!

Trying the untrieds, Day 1.

I feel a little sheepish. I've been accumulating polishes like mad, and now have realized I have 51 untrieds! (and I have 6-7 on the way!) From this point in time, I will not buy any more polish until I've gone through ALL of my untrieds and posted them here. So here is Day 1:
L'Oreal Raven's Dream, WnW fastdry Correction tape

This is 2-3 coats of L'Oreal Raven's Dream (from their recent fall collection). It goes on streaky/patchy like all pale pinks seem to do for me. I don't really know why I bought it because I have so many pale pinks! This is topped with Wet n Wild fastdry Correction Tape. This is a fun glitter. I like the combination of small hex and square glitters. It makes me think of a birthday party.

Another Halloween mani! Witchy stripes!

This design makes me think of either a witch's striped stockings or Harry Potter. Either way, I'm in the mood for Halloween!
This is two coats of China Glaze Senorita Bonita (love), stamped with black using bundle monster plate #20.

My schnoodle, Mattie, is ready for some trick-or-treating!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! Guest Artist, Miss Trish

Happy Halloween!

Today's guest artist is Miss Trish. Look at this nail art - quite impressive!
"I covered each nail with a clear base coat. Then I dabbed each color onto a paper plate and drew the designs with a tooth pick (pumpkin, cupcake, ghost face, black clouds, polka dots, spider and "boo"). The candy corn and ghost body was done with the polish brush."
"I used Pure Ice- super star and black rage along with Sally Hansen Xtreme wear -cherry red, sun kissed, mellow yellow, going green and deep purple."
Thanks, Miss Trish. You have set the bar pretty high!

Halloween nail art!

This is three coats of Essie Marshmallow, stamped with various designs from the Bundle Monster plates. Some came out great, others so-so. The design on my pinkie is supposed to be chains. I had a little smearing of the design with the top coat - that requires a very delicate application which I have not mastered yet.

The witch!

Unexpected haulage!

Hello fellow nail polish fanatics! It's challenging to keep this nail polish addiction under control. I'd like to think I keep things within reason, but I did not hold back when I stumbled across a good portion of the Kleancolor line at a kiosk in a ho-hum type of shopping center. I wanted these chunky holos badly when everyone was going crazy for them, but I practiced some self-restraint. I also found OPI I Lilly love you which I had given up on.
Behold the pretties:
Left to right: Kleancolor Matte top coat, OPI I Lilly Love You, KC chunky holo purple, KC chunky holo poppy, KC chunky holo clover, KC chunky holo scarlet, KC chunky holo bluebell, KC chunky holo fuschia, KC firework, KC blue-eyed girl, KC holiday jingle
OPI Illy, KC chunky holo purple, poppy, clover, scarlet and bluebell

KC chunky holo bluebell, fuschia, KC firework, KC blue-eyed girl, KC holiday jingle.

I didn't find chunky holo black, but these will do!

Revlon glitters

How exciting is it that Revlon is doing glitter?!! First up is Facets of Fuschia. I layered it over 2 coats of black, but I hear it looks great on it's own.

And here is Starry Pink. I absolutely love this. I was trying to create a milky jelly sandwich (with Essie marshmallow and silver hex glitter) about a month ago that was a total fail. This looks like what I was trying to create. This makes me realize I really do need Deborah Lippman Glitter in the Air.

That's an almost healed scratch on my ring finger,
from brushing the dog.
Sorry if it grosses you out!

Zoya Marley, stamped with SH Purple Pronto - great color combo!

I love these type of color combos, a base in a light and the stamping design in a dark - from the same color family. This is Zoya Marley, two coats, stamped with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Purple Pronto, using a bundle monster plate. I'm really happy with these colors!

Animal print - Giraffe!

Here's a new animal print design from one of my bundle monster plates. The base is Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Coco a-go-go, from the new fall line. Stamped with Orly Luxe. Thanks for lookin'!

More glitter madness

Today, I am showing-off another L.A. Girl Glitter Addict. The base is three coats of Hard Candy Sky with two coats of Jostle.
By the way, Hard Candy Sky has a terrible formula - very thin and runny.

Glitter Nirvana

My shipment of Glitter Addicts arrived yesterday and it felt like Christmas morning to me! I actually waited a couple hours to build-up the excitement.

Behold:

L.A. Girl Glitter Addict: l to r
Nostalgic, Flamboyant, Jostle, Animate
Explosion x 2, Uninhibited x 2
Same lineup
Jostle, the one that induced a sharp inhalation upon first seeing it.
Of course, the pic doesn't capture the magic!
OPI Sweetheart base, three coats with one
coat of Uninhibited. Oreos&milk, anyone?

To summarize, these are densely packed glitters in a clear base. The manicure possibilities are endless: black (uninhibited) over red = ladybug, orange (flamboyant) over black = halloween, Aqua (nostalgic) over coral = tropical island, silver (explosion) over black = New Year's Eve, any of them sandwiched between jelly coats = jelly sandwich. Yum! I can't wait to show you what I come up with! Oh yeah, these were $4 each, no shipping fee, purchased from LA Girl website, fast delivery.

Sinful Colors Mint Apple + stamping

Hi everyone! I heard about Sinful Colors being on sale at Walgreens for 99 cents, so I purchased Mint Apple, Thimbleberry and Pink Glass. Here is Mint Apple:
