Zoya, baby! Mini haul

I'm very excited to see that Ulta now carries Zoya nail polish. Maybe they have for a while, but I try to avoid Ulta, for fear of polish binging. At $7 a bottle, that seems very reasonable. OPI is $8.50 - and I think their colors are boring. I also picked-up an awesome red jelly, on clearance for $3.25! Love Jellies!!!
Ulta Professional, What a Maroon, Zoya Marley, Caitlin, and Gemma
I had to have this one - Army green with a purple flash!
I'm thinking Marley would look awesome with Deborah Lippman, Glitter in the Air on top - really lusting for that color. Price tag scares me though, at $18 a bottle. I'll want all of them.

The world's ugliest nail polish color?

I really wanted to like this color - it's so unusual. Greige with slight silver shimmer. With my skin tone, it is truly hideous. But I slapped a gold glitter top coat on and it makes it passable. Gold glitter saves the day again!

OPI for Sephora aka $OPI, Under My Trenchcoat with
$OPI gold glitter topcoat.
My troll hand. Doesn't look too trollish from this angle.

In honor of Charlie Sheen's "Radness"

I'm finding myself so entertained by Charlie that I did a manicure in his honor. I will also start incorporating "radical" in my conversations.
You should be thinking mid-1980's. Neon colors, jelly bracelets and side-ponytails.

L.A. Colors, no-name bright pink with Konad, plate m57, black zebra stripes

This is my funky troll hand.

So Eighties!

Urban Decay Nirvana!!!

My sister ROCKS! I received a large box with a big Urban Decay sticker on it. I thought, "Did I win a contest? Did I sign-up for a sweepstakes two years ago? What's happening???!!!! My sweet, sweet sister sent this to me for my birthday!
OMG!!!!
I will procede to a bubble bath, have a few girl scout cookies and look at these precious things. The colors, the names, so many, aaaahhhhhh!!!! I will kick it off, tomorrow, my birthday, by wearing "Perversion" - so appropriate in so many ways!

Awesome 99-cent color

It's hard to pass-up a 99-cent bottle of nail polish when the color is this cool.
This is Wet n Wild "Wild Card/Invitation"
Unfortunately this pic doesn't capture the color that well.

So I did my usual meticulous application, and what do you  know? BUBBLES. Bubbles everywhere. Now, I was quite careful not to shake it too much during application. In fact, I shook it once before hand, and let it sit for awhile to let the bubbles rise to the surface.
So, how did I get all these bubbles?
Maybe you "get what you pay for." So, I decided to do some layering for fun since I can't wear a mani with so  many flaws. This is what I came up with:

This is a layer of Finger Paints "Hue Left Me A Message?"
I can't wait to take a picture of it in the sun - so sparkly!

Konading again

Konad is fun, but time consuming. I thought I would try different shades of pink flowers over a pale pink base. I found that the more flowers I added, the sloppier it got. Check out the finger with leopard prints. Can't wait to do that again!

I think my base color - OPI Sweet Heart is an awesome pale pink. It is incredibly flattering to my pale skin. So feminine. The pics don't really capture the true colors. I might only leave this on for a day, so that I can do another Konadicure.

Houndstooth Konad

This is my second "Konad-icure" and wow, the learning curve is steep. I'm quite happy with my improvements in coverage and discovering which polishes work best with Konad.
This is OPI Lincoln Park After Dark. I like the
glossy finish. This bottle is at least 5-6 years
old and went on very thick.

I stamped the houndstooth design from
Konad plate m63 with Orly Rave or Rage -
the label with the name came off.

It seems like metallics show-up nicely over vampies. I think it's a good combination.

I wish I had more time for nails. I can think of so many different themes/designs. . . Valentine's Day, Egyptian flag, snowflakes . . .
